I'm a Senior iOS Engineer with 6+ years building production Swift apps — from fintech and regulated government platforms to consumer fitness products and indie projects I ship under my own studio, Inkwell Code.
I care about the whole experience: architecture that doesn't rot, UIs that feel native down to the physics, and products that people actually want to use. I've worked across the stack — HealthKit, WidgetKit, CloudKit, Firebase, deep linking, push notifications — and I'm equally comfortable whiteboarding a data model or pixel-pushing a transition.
Currently focused on building my own products while taking on select client work.
What if your workouts had stakes?
FitRivals turns daily activity into head-to-head competition. Players challenge each other in 1v1, 2v2, 3v3, or free-for-all formats, with real Apple Health data as the source of truth.
Under the hood:
- HealthKit background delivery — activity syncs silently even when the app is closed
- Pre-aggregated Firestore architecture — player stats computed and stored at write time, not read time. Fast queries at scale.
- Widget suite — Heatmap, Battle Status, and Today's Score widgets via WidgetKit
- Universal Links — deep linking via inkwellcode.com so challenge invites land exactly where they should
- Push notification system — rebuilt from scratch for reliability and meaningful alerts, not noise
- Cinematic onboarding — because first impressions are load-bearing
Currently in alpha. Built solo.
AlinaNutrisport — iOS app for a nutrition coaching platform. Full UIKit/SwiftUI hybrid with Firebase backend, user management, and a food equivalency system for nutritionists to build plans for clients.
