"EE02" controller and 13.3" spectra screen

Hey all, this is a really incredible project. Your effort to outcome ratio is incredible. Nice work.

I was digging though this assuming that because the -S2 was supported that the new Seeed 13.3 "EE02" Spectra controller would be supported. But in your list it says maybe. Is someone currently working on this? I don't want to duplicate effort but my screen/controller just showed up and I'd much rather use your firmware and contribute here than use their relay server/interface.

Support is definitely planned. The first step is that https://github.com/bitbank2/bb_epaper adds support for the display(already planned). After that, it should be pretty fast to add support here.

Amazing. Thanks for taking the time to respond. I got very frustrated with the default firmware and ended up taking matters into my own hands and made an esphome custom component to at least have some sort of functional open firmware. I really don't care where that leads so if you or bitbank use that to riff on something that would be great.

The controller situation for this is screen is really unusual so it might take some time to integrate. It's a 60 pin connection to two UC8179 controllers in a master/slave configuration. I tried to well document it in that repo docs/ folder.

Thanks for the info. I still think it's doable, it just will take more time on my side and I need to add the second CS pin and a new image format. Larry will find a way around it for sure ;)

Did anything progress with this? I have found a couple pages that say it is supported, but when I got to the webpage to install the firmware it isn't listed.

I am really excited about getting this connected to HomeAssistant
