JDK 8 mode is set but use of JDK 9 methods in tests

Map.of() was introduced in JDK 9. The test cases seem to use that. If we maintain strict JDK8 compatibility, this might be wrong. This is rather a question than a bug. And yes, I am fine with going to JDK 11 :)

For the moment that is ok - because the test are using selenium an therefore jdk11 is required.

And the plan is more like having a HtmlUnit 5 at the end of the year based on JDK 17.
